Job Title: Electrical Assembler

Job Description

The 12v Electrician is responsible for routing wires for fire apparatus equipment by following wire diagrams and other technical drawings. This role involves connecting lights, hose reels, and other accessories to the electrical box and fabricating boxes, mounts, and other necessary equipment according to the blueprint. Effective communication with fabricators is essential for complete installation and the fabrication of wire harnesses as needed. Basic hand tools will be utilized to achieve objectives, and other duties may be performed as required by management to meet company needs.

Responsibilities

Route wires for fire apparatus equipment using wire diagrams and technical drawings.Connect lights, hose reels, and other accessories to the electrical box.Fabricate boxes, mounts, and other necessary equipment according to blueprints.Communicate effectively with fabricators for complete installation.Fabricate wire harnesses as needed.Utilize basic hand tools to achieve objectives.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management.

Essential Skills

Experience in low voltage wiring.Knowledge of electrical assembly and installation.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.Mechanical assembly skills.Production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with 12-volt systems.Proficiency in using basic hand tools.

Work Environment

The position offers a 1st shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with hours depending on the supervisor, either 5:00am - 3:30pm or 6:00am - 4:30pm. Candidates can expect to work 45-50 hours per week, including mandatory overtime on Fridays. The work environment is temperature-controlled, featuring spacious work areas and a team-oriented setting. All tools required for the job are provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
