Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking skilled electrical assemblers with a passion for precision and quality. This role requires experience in small part assembly, particularly in electrical or wiring tasks. Candidates should be adept with hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, rulers, and crimpers, and must be capable of standing for extended periods. The position demands availability to work Fridays and Saturdays for 5-8 hours.
Responsibilities
Follow established assembly instructions for fiber optic cables and products.Maintain a minimum standard quota for assigned tasks, either by time or piece count.Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.Develop an intermediate understanding of tool names and their applications.Gain beginner-level component identification and product knowledge.Achieve an intermediate understanding of standard and metric measurements and use conversion tools.Perform all tasks accurately to ensure quality products.Report any irregularities in daily goals, quality, or delays to the Production Supervisor or management.Use problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues, initiating constructive changes as needed.Essential Skills
1+ year of small part assembly experience, preferably in electrical/wiring.Proficiency with hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, crimpers, etc.Ability to stand for long periods.Comfortable working with wires and cables.Ability to read, write, and speak English.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.High level of attention to detail.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).Basic measurement skills using both standard and metric.ITAR Compliant.Ability to reason and analyze.Highly dependable with a good work ethic and positive attitude.Work Environment
The work environment is a clean manufacturing setting focused on producing fiber optics for government and private customers. Employees will wear a basic gown, similar to a lab coat, in a clean room-type environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
