**Job Title: 12v Electrician | Pay: $22-27/ hour depending on experience**
**Job Description**
The 12v Electrician is responsible for routing wires for fire apparatus equipment by following wire diagrams and other technical drawings. This role involves connecting lights, hose reels, and other accessories to the electrical box, as well as fabricating boxes, mounts, and other necessary equipment according to blueprints. The position requires effective communication with fabricators for complete installation and the fabrication of wire harnesses as needed. Utilizing basic hand tools to achieve objectives is essential, and the electrician will perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet company needs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Route wires for fire apparatus equipment using wire diagrams and technical drawings.
+ Connect lights, hose reels, and other accessories to the electrical box.
+ Fabricate boxes, mounts, and other necessary equipment according to blueprints.
+ Communicate with fabricators for complete installation.
+ Fabricate wire harnesses as needed.
+ Utilize basic hand tools to achieve objectives.
+ Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required by management.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in low voltage wiring.
+ Experience in electrical assembly and installation.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
+ Skilled in mechanical assembly and production.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in 12-volt electrical systems.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is temperature-controlled, with spacious work areas designed for teamwork. Employees work the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, with hours varying between 5:00am - 3:30pm and 6:00am - 4:30pm, depending on the supervisor. Mandatory overtime on Fridays can be expected, with a typical workweek ranging from 45-50 hours. All necessary tools are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St Paul, MN.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
