Job Description

The Electrical Assembler will perform electrical assembly tasks on refrigeration houses, which are the structures seen on the exterior of grocery stores. This role involves running wires to complete the assembly of refrigeration units, as well as wiring up lights or ceiling fans based on customer specifications. Some units will have prints and schematics, while for others, the assembler will collaborate with the team to develop the process. Hand and power tools will be used for assemblies, and there will also be a mechanical assembly component to the job.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical assembly on refrigeration houses.Run wires to complete refrigeration unit assemblies.Wire lights and ceiling fans according to customer requests.Interpret and work from prints and schematics.Collaborate with team members to devise assembly processes.Use hand and power tools for assembly tasks.Engage in mechanical assembly aspects as required.

Essential Skills

Experience in electrical wiring from a manufacturing or construction background.Ability to read blueprints and schematics.Familiarity with electrical assembly and wiring techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Open to individuals with a mechanical inclination who are eager to learn electrical wiring.Students in relevant fields are also considered (Summit Academy students encouraged to apply!)Physical ability to stand for 8+ hours a day and lift 20+ lbs regularly and 50+ lbs occasionally.Capability to perform tasks involving standing, sitting, bending, and reaching.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a large, fast-paced manufacturing building where units are built in teams of 3-4 people. The environment is well-lit and clean, though the nature of the work may cause workers to get dirty. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required daily.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
