Electrical Assembler
**Aerotek is hiring multiple Electrical Technician Assemblers!** Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to install electrical wiring and assemble components in control cabinets, electrical and industrial equipment. You will work according to assembly drawings, hydraulic and lubrication diagrams, and runoff instructions. Responsibilities + Install electrical wiring and assemble components in control cabinets and related industrial apparatus. + Install power supply wiring and conduit/unistrut for newly built and re-built machinery. + Square, align, and assemble bases, sills, cabinet frames, or equipment structural components on floor or floor plate. + Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment. + Lay out diagrams for electrical installations according to wiring specifications. + Drill and tap holes in specified locations for mounting control units. + Attach breakers, relays, contactors, bus bars, transformers, insulators, regulator cabinets, condenser units, motor and generator sets, meters, plugging devices, and fuse blocks to mounting holes with bolts and screws. + Cut, strip, bend, and form wire cable, conduit, pipe, and tubing used to connect circuits and subassemblies. + Connect color-coded wires using mirrors in compact areas. + Solder connections and crimp connectors to wire ends. + Test and adjust electrical assemblies. + Program automated machinery and test for malfunctions using robot controllers, pendants, and programmable controllers. Essential Skills + Experience with electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and schematic interpretation. + Ability to understand and work with wiring diagrams and panel wiring. + Good electrical experience is required. + Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 2+ years of experience in a similar role is ideal, but recent graduates will be considered. + Experience in a production environment is a plus. + Familiarity with instrumentation/data acquisition is advantageous. + Ability to read blueprints. + Experience with power tools, drilling, hand tools, mechanical assembly, and conduit bending. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 3:30pm, with the possibility of working up to 8 hours on Saturdays when needed. Flexibility is required to start at 6:00am on some days. Temperatures can vary, but fans and open doors help during summer months. Cold drinks and frozen treats are provided to keep employees comfortable. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
