**Job Title: Switchgear Assembler**
**Job Description**
Join our dynamic team as a Switchgear Assembler, where you will be responsible for assembling tap off boxes, switchgear units, remote power panels, and mechanical power distribution units. We are seeking individuals with strong mechanical skills, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble small units, focusing on mechanical assembly with proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to assemble data bar units.
+ Fasten, drill, attach, and build complete units composed of metal parts.
+ Perform control wiring throughout individual units in the electrical area.
+ Engage in general labor duties including stocking, inventory, and unwrapping raw materials.
+ Work at a production pace to meet daily unit completion goals.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-3 years of assembly or similar experience using hand/power tools.
+ 1 year of wiring experience gained through hobby, school, or professional work.
+ Ability to read a tape measure and familiarity with blueprint or schematic reading.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 1-2 years of mechanical or electrical assembly experience.
+ Proven track record of success with stable job history.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a spacious 250,000 sq ft facility with high ceilings and a clean atmosphere. The site includes departments for fabrication, welding, machine operating, and painting. Standard working hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM from Monday to Friday, with optional overtime and occasional Saturday shifts.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
