**Job Title: Instrumentation Technician**
Job Description
This role involves repairing and maintaining electrical and instrument equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments. You will engage in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machines, equipment, and instruments. Additionally, you will investigate problems with instruments and sensors, inspect and test operation of instruments and systems, read and interpret electrical drawings, and work with DCS, PLC, control software, and human-machine interface systems.
Responsibilities
+ Repair and maintain electrical and instrument equipment.
+ Rebuild, repair, and maintain a variety of machines, equipment, and instruments.
+ Investigate problems with instruments and sensors, including flow meters, temperature sensors, and more.
+ Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults.
+ Read and interpret electrical drawings, instrument loop diagrams, and BIDS.
+ Work with DCS and assist in programming and troubleshooting PLCs and control software.
+ Identify practices and equipment for improvement to increase reliability and decrease costs.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in instrumentation/electrical field or a Journeyman Instrument/Electrical Certificate or an Associate's Degree in I & E Technology.
+ Experience with electrical, instrumentation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
+ Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and instrument loop diagrams.
+ Proficiency in working with DCS and PLCs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Heavy process experience.
+ Troubleshooting sensors and VFDs for pumps/motors.
+ Proactive planning of repairs and instrumentation.
+ Knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RFCA).
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
+ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a rotating schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off, then 3 days on and 3 days off, from 8am to 8pm. The role requires flexibility to work overtime, including nights and weekends when needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethune, South Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
