Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated EHS Technician to assist in maintaining and improving regulatory requirements in accordance with MIOSHA and EGLE standards. This role offers a balanced experience, with 50% of the work in an office environment and 50% in an industrial setting. You will play a crucial role in maintaining permitting status for air, sewer discharge, and stormwater requirements while ensuring safety and environmental inspections are completed to a high standard.
Responsibilities
Assist the EHS Manager in maintaining and improving compliance with regulatory requirements.Maintain and track permitting status for air, sewer discharge, and stormwater.Ensure quality completion of safety and environmental inspections, audits, and assessments.Manage air permitting machinery with engineering support.Assist in the maintenance and optimization of Environmental and Safety Machinery.Provide technical decision-making and improvements.Conduct training on EHS programs.Assist in incident investigations and maintain the Safety Team.Identify and implement systematic improvements.Facilitate cultural change and liaise with EHS Management and EHS group.Essential Skills
Experience in safety, construction, EHS management, and health & safety.Knowledge of OSHA standards, including OSHA 30 certification.Proficiency in environmental health & safety and compliance audits.Experience in industrial hygiene and hazardous waste management.Understanding of environmental regulations, air compliance, and stormwater management.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in air permitting, sewer treatment, and hazardous waste handling.Employee training abilities and technical writing skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to achieve certification as a Stormwater Operator and in DOT/RCRA Hazardous Waste Management.Chemical experience and industrial sampling experience preferred.Experience in Risk Management Plans is a plus.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $65000.00/yr.
