Job Title: EHS SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to serve as an ES&H Representative responsible for the oversight and implementation of ES&H requirements. The role requires full-time on-site presence at Y-12 during all work activities. The selected candidate will directly report to the Site Manager and must possess the necessary education, training, and experience to effectively implement the ES&H Plan.

ResponsibilitiesImplement and oversee ES&H requirements in coordination with contractor management.Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations.Conduct assessments and provide ES&H oversight during construction activities.Develop and administer the ESH Project Plan effectively.Maintain communication with management to report on safety and health performance.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.Minimum of 5 years of full-time EHS experience.Completion of OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training courses.29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER 40-hour certification.Current CPR and First Aid certification.CSP or equivalent nationally recognized certification or eligibility.Strong communication skills and sound judgment.Proficiency with EHS tools/software and standard office applications.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Additional Skills & QualificationsFour-year technical degree in an ES&H Discipline from an accredited university.Minimum of three years of safety and health experience in construction environments.Experience in a full-time ES&H representative role providing oversight, implementation, and assessments.Professional references with firsthand knowledge of safety and health experience.Work Environment

This position requires work at Oakridge Y-12 and eventually the Savannah River Project. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/hr.
