Our client, _a diversified global manufacturer operating in a wide range of industrie_ s, is seeking an **EHS Specialist** to join their team, 100% Onsite, in **Austin, TX** . As an EHS Specialist, you will be part of the R&D community supporting various divisions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Location:** Austin, TX 78759
**Pay Range:** $25/HR + Benefits
**Contract Duration:** 12-Months, Potential to extend and/or convert to FTE
**Job Function:**
+ Lead EHS risk assessments and escalate to additional subject matter experts as needed.
+ Serve as hazardous waste coordinator, updating waste stream profiles for new materials and planning lab clean-out days.
+ Conduct routine EHS inspections and track EHS activities, including action items and pending approvals.
+ Maintain active communication channels within the EHS team and with researchers.
+ Support EHS programs related to risk assessment and control, including personal protective equipment.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Export Control Check Required
+ 2-3+ years of experience in R&D settings, ideally with a background in chemistry.
+ Technical, industrial, or Environmental Health and Safety experience.
+ Willingness to learn risk assessment processes and databases/tools.
+ Strong communication skills & Excellent organizational skills.
