EDM Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled EDM Machinist capable of operating EDM machines, specifically Sodick and Charmille, to concurrently support multiple products. The role involves interpreting design blueprints and set-up sheets to ensure precise set-up of mold details, and performing operations within very close tolerances. You will also be required to set up machining centers and inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Collaboration with Engineering and Programming throughout the manufacturing process is essential, as well as the ability to operate various machinery including Bridge Ports, Grinders, Saws, and EDM machines. Compliance with Corporate EHS, Quality, and HR standards is a must.

Responsibilities

Operate EDM machines (Sodick and Charmille) for multiple products.Interpret design blueprints and set-up sheets for accurate mold detail set-up.Perform machining operations within close tolerances.Set up machining centers efficiently.Inspect work using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Collaborate with Engineering and Programming during manufacturing.Operate multiple types of machinery including Bridge Ports, Grinders, Saws, and EDM.Ensure compliance with Corporate EHS, Quality, and HR standards.

Essential Skills

Experience with set up and operation of Wire EDM or Sinker EDM Machines in tooling or molding environments.Proficient in utilizing blueprints and work instructions.Ability to perform quality inspections independently.Possession of basic machining tools.High School Diploma or GED.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $82368.00 - $112320.00/yr.
