**Job Title: EDM Operator**
**Job Description**
Join our team as an EDM Operator, where you will be responsible for setting up and operating electro-discharge machines (EDM) in a production facility. You will ensure quality inspection using precise instruments and interpret blueprints to troubleshoot and rectify defects. This role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and produce high-efficiency output, maintaining quality standards crucial for aerospace turbine engine parts.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate EDM machines, including conventional and 5-axis models.
+ Inspect parts for quality during production using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
+ Interpret blueprints and drawings for accurate machine operation.
+ Troubleshoot and fix defects with machinery to prevent scrapping parts.
+ Prepare various logs and records to document machine operation and daily production.
+ Switch jobs as required, following training.
+ Achieve more than 98% efficiency on a daily basis, prioritizing quality.
**Essential Skills**
+ Basic computer skills.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience in CNC or other metal machine operation.
+ Proficiency with measurement devices such as micrometers and calipers.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Ability to verify eligibility to work in the US.
+ Capability to read and write English.
+ Aerospace experience is a plus.
+ Previous EDM experience is advantageous.

**Work Environment**
Work in a production facility with over 150 EDM machines. Most areas are temperature-controlled. You'll need to work in confined spaces and lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently. The noise level may be loud, and you must use required personal protective equipment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
