Responsibilities

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health is a 182-bed treatment facility that specializes in quality behavioral health and substance abuse services for youth, adults and seniors. We offer a full continuum of care through an integrated system of inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. In addition to direct patient care responsibilities, ECT Nurse Manager is responsible for the delivery of quality nursing care for all patients on the ECT unit.

 

The ECT Nurse Manager is responsible for the operational oversight of ECT activities, and will oversee all unit activities including, but not limited to, admissions, discharges and supervision of the assigned nursing staff.  The ECT Nurse Manager directs and supervises the activities of the Nurses and the Mental Health Techs working on the unit as part of the nursing team.  The ECT Nurse Manager will coordinate all medical codes, whether real or mock, and ensure they are carried out appropriately and safely.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected of the ECT Nurse Manager.

 

Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 5:00am - 1:30pm and Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 to 4:30pm.

Qualifications

Education/Training: 

Graduate of accredited school of nursing - BSN preferredMinimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably six (6) months in psychiatric nursingCombination of education and years of experience can substitute for degree requirementCrisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent

 Experience:

Licensure/Certification:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of FloridaCPR & ACLS certification
