eCommerce Optimization Analyst

Job Summary

At Home is looking for an eCommerce Optimization Analyst to join our growing eCommerce team! 

This person will own the A/B testing and Conversion rate Optimization program. They will find ways 

to optimize the website & mobile app for our customers. They will develop a strategy, form a 

hypothesis, and perform tests to increase site conversion rates & other key performance indicators.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

 

• The eCommerce Optimization Analyst's day-to-day responsibilities will require the individual 

to have a working knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) tools. Specifically, Adobe 

Analytics, Adobe Target, heat mapping, and UX tracking tools

• Own the A/B testing process & strategy. Work with the eCommerce team members to finalize 

the A/B test designs, development, tagging, quality assurance, & reporting

• Identify A/B test opportunities by analyzing user behavior, navigation patterns, page 

performance, and conversion funnels

• Identify customer friction points on the website for conversion and create a plan to solve 

those friction points by A/B testing.

• Play a pivotal role in communicating to both peers and executive leadership opportunities for 

site improvements

• Follow up on the A/B testing strategy, hypothesis, and subsequent analysis

• Conduct moderated & unmoderated user testing scenarios to find qualitative supporting data 

for continuing conversion rate optimization

Qualifications and Competencies

• 1+ years of relevant web analytics experience is required

• Experience with retail analytics with the ability to communicate complex concepts to a variety 

of audiences.

• The problem-solving mindset with experience in diagnosing, reporting, tracking, and resolving 

data quality issues

• Strong analytic, quantitative, and data interpretation skills, and ability to transform data into 

actionable insights. Presentation skills are a must

• Working knowledge of Power BI is a plus but not required

• Working knowledge of online testing applications such as Google Optimize, Adobe Target, 

Kibo Monetate, AB Tasty, VWO, and Convert is required
