This role sits within the Quality & Lean organization, supporting the Configuration Management (CM) function for consumer device programs. The Project / Program Manager II will focus on product configuration, master data management, and PLM/PDM processes, supporting products from early development through end-of-life.
The role emphasizes change order processing, BOM management, PLM administration, and process improvement, and is highly cross‑functional. You will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Packaging teams to ensure accurate configuration control and timely product releases.
This is a high-visibility role supporting multiple active product releases in a fast-paced hardware development environment.
Must be local to Sunnyvale, CA to be considered for this role. Role is 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a company-wide resource for master data maintenance, issue resolution, and escalations
Analyze, process, and track Change Orders (COs) and associated design documentation
Drive part setup, BOM creation, releases, and engineering changes for new and sustaining products
Ensure all configuration documentation complies with internal standards and policies
Support global master data setup from development through end-of-life (EOL)
Partner cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Provide regular project updates on schedule, risks, issues, and deliverables
Create, publish, and maintain metrics and reporting to track CM performance
Participate in and support continuous process improvement initiatives
Support multiple concurrent consumer device product releases
PLM / Configuration Management System Responsibilities
Onboard new employees and external partners into the PLM system
Review and process deviations, change requests, non-recurring change orders, and control runs
Manage user roles, access privileges, and functional team configurations within the PLM tool
Provide training, guidance, and best practices to PLM users
Resolve system access, configuration, and workflow issues via trouble ticket support
Continuously benchmark and improve Configuration Management performance against system and process standards
Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in Project or Program Management
4+ years of hands-on experience in Configuration Management
4+ years of experience using PLM/PDM tools (Agile PLM or similar strongly preferred)
Proven ability to use data and metrics to drive process improvements
Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
Excellent written communication skills, including technical documentation and process writing
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
Experience supporting hardware or consumer device programs
Experience working in regulated or high‑complexity manufacturing environments
Top 3 Must‑Have Skills
4+ years of Project / Program Management experience
Strong PLM / PDM tool expertise (Agile PLM preferred)
Excellent technical writing and documentation skills

This is a Contract position based out of Sunnyvale, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
