Early Assets Supply Lead

We are looking for an Early Asset Supply Lead who is strategic, collaborative, and solution-oriented to join our Global Supply Chain team, based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.

 

About the role:

You will drive the transition of early‑stage assets from development to commercial launch while shaping supply, inventory, and capacity strategies for future product readiness. You will ensure supply resilience, support lifecycle management, and orchestrate long‑range planning activities that help us meet patient and business objectives.

 

Who you will work with

You will collaborate with Patient Supply teams, technical teams, manufacturing partners, and cross‑functional stakeholders involved in launch excellence, compliance, asset strategy, and long‑range planning. You will work across functional boundaries to align on assumptions, manage risks, strengthen supply resilience, and prepare assets for their full lifecycle.

 

What you will do:

You will ensure the smooth transition of assets supply management from development to commercial environments.Progressively integrate early assets into established supply chain and asset governance processes, adapting them to early-stage realities.You will be responsible for integrating demand, supply, and inventory decisions to build a robust supply network strategy.You will translate long‑range demand plans into long‑range supply requirements to support network definition.You will manage strategic supply, inventory, and capacity scenarios while identifying risks and mitigation actions.You will develop and execute asset supply and launch strategies in close partnership with internal stakeholders.You will represent Supply Chain in key compliance and change control forums, ensuring alignment and risk escalationOperate with autonomy, proactively engaging stakeholders and demonstrating value through influence rather than formal authority. 

Interested? For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience, and skills:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree beneficial.Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes, supply chain planning, and strategic business requirements.Ability to link commercial expectations to supply, capacity, and inventory implications early in the asset lifecycle.Experience in process definition, change management, and compliance frameworks (GMP, GDP, trade regulations).Ability to work cross‑functionally and deliver innovative, value‑driving solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse technical and non‑technical audiences.Prior exposure to biologics, CMC, or clinical supply environments is considered a plus.
