Lead Technology Project & Program Manager

The Digital Experience Group (DXG) is Wolters Kluwer’s global digital solutions organization, responsible for delivering the platforms and products that power critical decision‑making for professionals worldwide. DXG brings together modern engineering practices, strong product thinking, and responsible use of AI to improve the speed, quality, and scalability of product delivery.

Role Overview

The Lead Technology Project & Program Manager plays a critical delivery leadership role within the DXG Program Office, responsible for planning and executing complex technology initiatives that span multiple teams and functions.

This role focuses on driving successful delivery of large initiatives — including AI‑related programs — by coordinating teams, managing risks and dependencies, and supporting adoption across engineering, product, quality, and enablement partners. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy, applying sound judgment to balance scope, timelines, and outcomes within established strategic and governance frameworks.

The Lead Program Manager may provide guidance or coordination for other project or program managers on an initiative, but this is not a formal people‑management role.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Delivery

Plan and deliver large, complex technology initiatives with multiple workstreams, teams, and dependencies.Own integrated delivery plans, milestones, and execution cadence across participating teams.Proactively identify, manage, and communicate risks, dependencies, and delivery trade‑offs.

AI & Technology Initiatives

Support delivery of AI‑related programs and pilots, including tooling introductions, workflow changes, and adoption activities aligned to DXG priorities.Coordinate evaluation, pilot, or rollout activities within a defined initiative or portfolio.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

Partner with Engineering, Architecture, Quality, Security, and Enablement teams to align execution and resolve delivery challenges.Serve as a central point of coordination to keep stakeholders informed and aligned throughout execution.

Adoption & Change Support

Support change management and adoption activities for new tools, capabilities, or processes.Track progress and outcomes, ensuring initiatives achieve intended delivery and usage goals.

Reporting & Communication

Provide clear, timely status updates and delivery insights to stakeholders and leadership.Translate complex delivery topics into actionable information for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Experience & Qualifications

Demonstrated experience leading complex technology projects or programs, typically involving multiple teams and delivery dependencies.Strong understanding of modern product and engineering delivery environments.Experience (typically 7-10 years) supporting technology change or transformation initiatives, including adoption of new tools or practices.Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or fast‑moving environments while maintaining delivery focus.Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.Experience coordinating work with other project or program managers is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).PMP or similar certification is a plus, but not required.

Compensation:

$128,900.00 - $226,050.00 USD

 

This role is eligible for Bonus.

Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position.  Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location. Your recruiter can share more information about the specific offer for the job location during the hiring process.
