**FANS Technician (Downtown Austin)**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated FANS Technician to join our team in a hospital kitchen, primarily working in the barista area. The role involves making sandwiches, prepping food for the day, and learning to prepare a variety of coffees. This position is ideal for someone with experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting, who can work independently and follow directions effectively.
**Responsibilities**
+ Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness.
+ Slice and dice food items for preparation.
+ Stock food items as needed.
+ Prepare deli items and food orders for patients unable to leave their rooms.
+ Deliver high levels of customer service.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1.5+ years in the food service industry.
+ 1.5+ years of job tenure at previous employers.
+ Ability to lift 50lbs and push 100lbs.
+ Customer service oriented with a professional demeanor.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in food service, cleaning, and food preparation.
+ Experience in dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is within a hospital cafeteria, where maintaining appearance and general hygiene is crucial. Tattoos must be covered, no facial piercings, and no heavy fragrances are permitted. The shifts are from 4 PM to 1 AM, Monday to Friday, with rotation every other weekend. Candidates need to be available from 7 AM to 10 PM, rotating on weekends.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.75 - $18.00/hr.
