Dsp Software Engineer
Job Title: DSP Software EngineerJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join our advanced engineering team at a leading Tier One automotive supplier. The DSP Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing signal processing algorithms for automotive applications such as advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), infotainment, active noise cancellation, and in-vehicle communication systems. This role requires strong expertise in DSP theory, embedded systems, and real-time implementation. Responsibilities + Design and implement DSP algorithms for audio, sensor data, and communication systems in automotive environments. + Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate DSP solutions into embedded platforms. + Analyze and optimize algorithms for real-time performance, memory usage, and power efficiency. + Develop test plans, perform simulations, and validate DSP algorithms under automotive conditions. + Work closely with system architects, hardware engineers, and software developers to ensure seamless integration. + Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and compliance certifications. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. + 3+ years of experience in DSP algorithm development and implementation. + Strong knowledge of DSP theory, including filter design, FFT, and adaptive filtering. + Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, and embedded systems programming. + Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet. + Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller/DSP architectures. + Excellent problem-solving ability and communication skills. + Ability to work in a collaborative environment. Work Environment This position offers a hybrid work environment with 2-3 days in-office and 2-3 days remote. On-site presence is required on Wednesdays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Farmington Hills, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $85.00/hr.
