Role Description
The Decision Support Center of Excellence (DS CoE) Business Enabling Senior Data Analyst is a finance position working in a team responsible for enabling global Financial reporting and analytics via multiple solutions including RPA, helping stand up any emerging technology / solutions and reconciling global financial data to ensure data integrity for all Markets across all Business Units.
The DS CoE Business Enabling Senior Process Analyst will report to the DS CoE Business Enabling Manager.
This role will be working in a global team with presence in all regions supporting DS CoE globally and will include:
Develop new solutions using a variety of different tools, but mainly focused to Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, VBA and Python
Executing initiatives to enhance and adjust DS CoE reporting delivery in alignment to major technological or organizational changes, including changes in the Pfizer financial systems, re organization.
Guarantee data availability and accuracy in the various financial reporting and planning systems utilized by the Global DS CoE to ensure meaningful management reporting and planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Design and implement data reconciliation procedures for Global DS CoE to adapt to Pfizer evolving systems landscape, and enhance services provided.
Partner with Robotics Process Automation (RPA) support organization to ensure efficient execution of DS CoE deliverables through RPA capabilities meeting agreed SLA’s
Lead and Coordinate with DS CoE sites globally to ensure consistent and standardized deployment and adoption of all finance enabling technology
Lead Business Enabling Tema projects
This role will require strong analytical ability, coupled with sufficient knowledge of business / finance analysis tools and methodologies as well as strong knowledge for technology capabilities enabling finance processes. This role will also require ability of communicating finance specifics in functional language and translate business needs into technical requirements to Digital support teams. This is a Senior position which will include managing regional or global level projects and mentoring the analyst level positions.
Responsibilities
Data Validation and Master Data Management
Design and implement data reconciliation procedures for Global DS CoE to adapt to Pfizer evolving systems landscape, and enhance services provided.
Ensure processes are documented through accurate standard operating procedures (SOPs), in order to facilitate knowledge management and ensure high quality standardized outputs.
Provide clear communication on financial data accuracy and availability through timely publication of reconciliations and commentary to the DS CoE teams
Collaboration with Pfizer Digital in the design, test and deployment phases of technical projects impacting the management reporting and planning main applications.
Lead the UAT and sign off for system upgrades/changes on behalf of the DS CoE
Ensure the Master Data Maintenance, which is the core of the Planning, budgeting and forecasting system is accurate and correctly maintained
Project Management and Digital Partnering
Maintain and own the financial systems configuration used to produce the DS CoE reporting, including SAP BI reports, Smart View, VBA, Power BI, Power App, Power Automate and excel schedulers and constantly review optimal use of technology to enable service delivery automation.
Drive and enable Continuous Improvements by constantly focussing on opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of existing and new processes.
Organize and deliver training and communication sessions to ensure DS COE operation teams remain familiar and skilled on finance enabling technology and execution
Support deployment and adoption of finance enabling technology across all DS CoE sites and act as champion of new solutions
Represent the DS CoE with the global finance, finance enabling technology programs, governance, value realization assessment, addressing global issues and opportunities
Lead DS CoE Business Enabling Projects independently
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Reporting Service Delivery
Manage the RPA activities and co-ordinate with support teams to ensure latest reporting standards are executed through RPA
Measure and monitor SLA’s and raise, communicate and escalate issues
Develop and manage a strong partnership with Digital and BTAMs RPA support team
Manage any RPA Software (Blue Prism) upgrades for the DS CoE
Timely communicate to DS CoE management RPA business exceptions and support resolution by partnering with RPA support and DS CoE operations team, including issues prioritization and testing of fixes
Constantly analyzing RPA exceptions and coordinate with Business Enabling global team to ensure CI opportunities are identified, site specific or globally
Ensure DS CoE Process Design Documents (PDD’s) and Working Instructions (WI) are up to date and aligned to evolving requirements, managing change requests, impact analysis and prioritization.
Ensure RPA optimal configuration to support data validation and reports production to enable DS COE service deliver to customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with finance/accounting
At least 2 years of Project Management experience at a regional or global scale and/or experience of working in a role technology oriented within a finance setting;
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft tools- Power Bi, Power Automate, Power App
Competency with spreadsheets, VBA & financial modelling (comfort with data manipulation and financial systems)
Proactive and autonomous mindset, to actively seek out and define opportunities and initiatives for improvement, and to work collaboratively to deliver them;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Solid understanding of finance IT system architecture
Management Reporting and Analysis process experience
Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Knowledge of ETL technology
Ability to identify business issues/opportunities and to frame business questions
Knowledge of various financial systems and financial reporting aspects is preferred
Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
