Dryer Operator
**Job Title: Dryer Operator** Job Description Join our dynamic team in the Food Drying Department as a Dryer Operator. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient drying and packaging of bulk Food Grade Ferrous Sulfate, adhering to all Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities + Dry and package bulk Food Grade Ferrous Sulfate per Work Instructions and SOPs. + Meet daily production level needs as determined by management. + Follow safety requirements and maintain production areas with proper housekeeping. + Maintain proper stock rotation of FG approved Moist Ferrous Sulfate. + Move material with a skid steer. + Complete Work Orders and Production Records. + Sample product for Quality Control (QC) testing. + Complete shift change cleaning requirements. + Move damp material with a forklift. + Mix the damp material. + Operate the dryer machine. + Move the dry material to storage bins. Essential Skills + Experience with sit-down forklifts. + Previous experience operating machinery and making adjustments. + Ability to consistently lift 55 pounds. + Experience in food production and dryer operation. + Knowledge of food manufacturing standards, GMP, and cGMP. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the Food and Beverage industry is a plus. + Machine troubleshooting experience is advantageous. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
