Job Description
Join our team in the Food Drying Department, where you will play a crucial role in drying and packaging bulk Food Grade Ferrous Sulfate. You will be responsible for meeting daily production levels, adhering to safety requirements, and maintaining proper housekeeping in production areas.
Responsibilities
Dry and package bulk Food Grade Ferrous Sulfate according to Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.Meet daily production level needs as determined by management.Follow safety requirements and maintain production areas with proper housekeeping.Maintain proper stock rotation of FG approved Moist Ferrous Sulfate.Move material using a skid steer.Complete Work Orders and Production Records.Sample product for Quality Control testing.Complete shift change cleaning requirements.Essential Skills
Sit down forklift experience.Previous experience operating machinery and making adjustments.Ability to consistently lift 55 pounds.Experience in food production and dryer operation.Knowledge of food manufacturing, GMP, and cGMP standards.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in the Food and Beverage industry.Machine troubleshooting experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role is within a dusty environment where the shop floor might have a metallic scent reminiscent of pennies. While the material is not hazardous to health, wearing an N95 mask or a scarf throughout the shift is advised for comfort. The environment demands adherence to safety standards due to the presence of iron salt dust.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of the Northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
