Drone Operator
Our client, a leader in Research & Development for advanced aviation technologies, is seeking a Drone Operator. As a Drone Operator II, you will be part of the Operations and Testing Department supporting cross-functional engineering and delivery site teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a safety-first mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Drone Operator **Location:** Seattle, WA (Up to 75% travel) **Pay Range:** $32/hr. **Contract:** 6-month contract with possible extension or conversion) **What’s the Job?** + Operate commercial drones under FAA Part 107 regulations for research, testing, and development projects. + Support mission planning, pre-launch operations, and light maintenance of drones. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams on site operations and readiness tasks. + Lead small teams during assignments to ensure safety and operational success. + Travel frequently to remote work locations, working in varied weather and flexible schedules. **What’s Needed?** + FAA **Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate** + 2+ years of Remote-Control drone piloting experience. + Proven ability to lead small teams and execute safe flight operations. + Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driver eligibility requirements. + Ability to lift to 50 lbs., stand/walk for extended hours, and perform physical activities as needed. + Flexibility to work variable shifts, weekends, and extensive travel (up to 75%). **What’s in it for me?** + Opportunity to work with a **cutting-edge R&D team** on next-generation aviation technology. + Hands-on experience with **large commercial drone operations** . + Competitive pay with potential for extension or permanent conversion. + Travel opportunities with company-provided vehicles for field assignments. + Dynamic, fast-paced work environment with growth potential in the UAS industry.
