Driver Operations Manager

**About the Role**
We are hiring a Driver Operations Manager who will support growing our taxi and rideshare supply bases and improving their driver engagement with Uber’s products and service. The role will lead driver and fleet product/feature launches and improvements by working closely with APAC central operations teams. It will also be responsible for supporting daily operational tasks.
The ideal candidate will have good business acumen, operational excellence, and technical product understanding to derive deep insights and enable data-driven decision-making. Given the nature of the work, you will also possess strong communication skills to facilitate cross-functional and cross-cultural communication. You are curious about new problems that emerge with our evolving business and willing to tackle them by rolling up your sleeves.
**The Impact You'll Have**
As a member of the Driver Operations team, you will report to a senior leader of the Mobility team and be responsible for driver experience and daily operational supports. Your scope will include:
- Lead the implementation of new driver and fleet products/features. Provide local business and operational insights to the regional and global teams to initiate product improvements.
- Support daily operational tasks such as product set-up for new city launch, payment operation, and others.
- Derive analytical insights to drive taxi and rideshare supply growth and engagement improvements.
**The Experience You'll Bring**
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as a program / product manager in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear communication that enables you to work effectively in cross-functional and cross-cultural environments.
- Operational mindset to tackle and resolve issues blocking business growth
- Bilingual in Japanese and English
- Creative, solutions driven mindset - You have a “get things done” attitude and willingness to get “in the trenches” to work with our stakeholders to develop creative solutions to challenges that haven’t been addressed before.
- Sound analytical skills that enable you to develop deep insights and recommend data-driven solutions and decisions.
- Deep understanding on SQL is plus
