Our client, a dedicated clothing collection company, is seeking a Driver Helper to join their team. As a Driver Helper, you will be part of the logistics team supporting the mission of delivering usable clothing to those in need. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to community service, which will align successfully with the organization.
**Job Title:** Driver Helper
**Location:** Sherwood, OR
**Pay Range:** $20/hr
**Shift:** 10-12 hour shifts
**What's the Job?**
+ Assist the box truck driver in picking up bags of clothing from various locations.
+ Unload the collected clothing from the truck upon return to the site.
+ Reload the clothing into a 53' trailer for further distribution.
+ Learn to operate a non-CDL box truck to prepare for potential driving responsibilities.
+ Maintain compliance with federal DOT standards, including passing background checks and drug tests.
**What's Needed?**
+ Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
+ Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the driver and team.
+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
+ Clean background and motor vehicle record (MVR).
+ Ability to pass a drug test as required by federal regulations.
