ABOUT THE COMPANY

JOB PURPOSE 

The Driver is responsible for operating vehicles or trucks to transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations, supporting business operations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Drive the vehicle to assigned destinations according to schedule, adhering to traffic regulations, road conditions, and the local road network. Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies regularly as per the checklist, ensuring they are roadworthy and compliant with legislation. Submit associated documentation to relevant stakeholders. Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies regularly according to the checklist to ensure they are roadworthy and compliant with legislation. Submit the associated documentation to the line manager. Load and unload cargo onto trucks, either manually or using appropriate lifting equipment, ensuring that materials are securely positioned in compliance with safety guidelines before handing them over to designated personnel. Prepare delivery notes for loads picked up or delivered, including Bill of Lading (BOL) for merchandise and window decorations, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed accurately. Ensure all legal vehicle documents are complete, valid, and registered according to legal requirements. Maintain a daily vehicle or trip log in compliance with company rules, ensuring that drivers and relevant stakeholders sign it at the end of each day. Transfer documents between shops and the back office as requested, facilitating smooth communication and operations.  *
