Drive the Future - Project Finance & Infrastructure Internship

The Global Corporate Banking Latin America Infrastructure & Project Finance team manages J.P. Morgan's overall relationships with large corporations, funds and public sector organizations to support large infrastructure investments across the region. We help our clients meet their objectives and challenges in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management and investments. Clients benefit from dedicated global coverage provided by experienced corporate bankers, who deliver the firm's extensive product platform and presence in more than 100 countries worldwide. 

The team manages Infrastructure & Project Finance sector from a relationship end while it engages with credit officers, capital markets and other coverage partners. The team originates and assists transactions in LatAm. It covers developed and emerging markets globally and works on transactions for both greenfield and brownfield projects in the transportation, energy, power, telecom and social infrastructure sub-sectors. As a member of the team, the intern is exposed to a wide variety of client types spanning multiple industries and exercises analytical skills to assess the risks and returns in highly structured transactions. While the position is part of a global team, the focus of this position will be on Colombia, Brazil and the LatAm region.

Working in a team environment, the intern will have access to senior officers of the firm and clients. You will be challenged to perform at the highest levels of excellence and are rewarded for your achievements in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The intern would be required to work with other professionals as a team drawing from the full spectrum of the firm's resources to develop customized financial solutions to meet the needs of clients. The intern will work with Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Vice Presidents, Associates and Analysts worldwide, assisting them with all client activities (marketing, execution and on-going relationship management). The intern will assume responsibility for managing internal processes for deal executions, internal approvals, business aspects of regulatory reporting and ongoing management of client relationship.

And these are some of the activities you will be responsible for:

Support analyst extensively with the Infrastructure Finance and Advisory team to conduct due diligenceAssisting in preparation of pitch books, RFPs, and other marketing materials for different productsDiverse financial analysis for clientsWorking with GCB Middle Office and internal teams in deal execution (including documentation and reporting)Preparing internal approval documents such as credit memos, Approval To Pitch (ATP) memos, Balance Sheet Committee NotesAssisting bankers with account planning and maintaining deal pipelineCollaborate with the credit underwriting team on analysis, structuring, negotiation, and documentation of credit requestsPreparation of management reports along with local business managerParticipation in planning activitiesParticipate in infrastructure & project finance deals, with a focus on syndicated loans, structured finance, derivatives and escrow
