Job Title: Driller Apprentice

Job Description

The Driller Helper Technician will work in the field to support the drill operator. This role involves assisting the driller with moving and attaching augers, handling soil sampling, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure the drill rig is operational.

Responsibilities

Assist the driller in moving and attaching augers.Handle soil sampling procedures.Perform preventative maintenance to keep the drill rig in working order.Ensure safety and awareness in an active construction site.

Essential Skills

Experience working outdoors in construction or environmental settings.Ability to lift 75+ lbs.Valid driver's license.Willingness to travel and stay overnight 2-4 times per week, with home visits on weekends 95% of the time.Previous drilling experience is advantageous.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Familiarity with environmental and construction materials.Experience in material testing.

Work Environment

This is an outdoor position requiring work on construction sites. You will collaborate with clients and subcontractors, ensuring safety amid active traffic, such as concrete trucks. Current projects include work on the I69 and various road projects in Indiana. Dress code includes boots, jeans without holes, and shirts with sleeves.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
