Job Title: Drafter/Designer

Job Description

This position involves independently creating 3D models for existing products, product design, and designing fixtures such as mechanical test and machining fixtures. The role also requires converting and updating CAD files and creating producible documentation that can be released to production. The drafter/designer will work on 1-2 projects at a time initially and will handle multiple projects over the course of a six-month contract.

Responsibilities

Independently create 3D models for existing products.Design fixtures including mechanical test and machining fixtures.Convert and update CAD files.Create producible documentation ready for production release.Handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Skills

Products Design Experience4+ years of Solidworks experience.Proficiency in Siemens NX, AutoCAD, and mechanical design.Experience in 3D modeling and mechanical drafting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associates degree preferred.CAD certification.Experience with Creo and Autodesk Inventor is a bonus.Experience working across multiple industries or in a job shop setting.Comfortable working with the Defense industry.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite five days a week at the Camas facility in an office setting. The work involves collaboration with multiple engineering teams, offering opportunities to learn and engage with a wide range of engineers and drafters. The role provides exposure to varied product designs across multiple projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Camas, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
