We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our engineering team. The role involves creating and updating 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. You will prepare layouts, part, and assembly drawings, and documentation for manufacturing, tooling, and sales. Collaborate closely with engineers to interpret redlines, apply GD&T, verify dimensions and tolerances, and ensure drawings meet company standards.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and update 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.Prepare layouts, part, and assembly drawings for manufacturing, tooling, and sales.Interpret redlines, apply GD&T, and verify dimensions and tolerances.Ensure all drawings meet company standards.Maintain drawing files and update drafting and engineering standards.Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).Communicate effectively with teams across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales.Essential SkillsProficiency in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and SolidWorks.Strong technical drawing and drafting skills.Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) ASME Y14.5.Document control and standards compliance expertise.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with manufacturing processes, CNC workflows, machining basics, or tooling practices.Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical systems.Ability to use 3D printing or prototyping tools for model verification.Work EnvironmentLocated in Carson City, our family-owned company offers a unique campus environment with various buildings and an airport on-site. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

The current cost for medical/vision insurance for spouse is $447.80 per month; child/children only is $351.55 per month; family coverage is $631.95 per month and is subject to change annually.
