Door Shop-Production Worker
**Door Shop-Production Worker** **Pay: $22-23/Hour** **Location: Tacoma, WA** **Shift: 6AM-2:30PM** Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Door Shop-Production Worker to join our team at a building products wholesaler. This role involves working in the door shop, where you will be part of a team responsible for finishing doors. You will handle and stage doors, operate a forklift, and have the potential to advance to more technical tasks involving pneumatic staplers and power tools. Responsibilities + Lift and stage approximately 100-130 doors daily, each weighing around 60 pounds, with occasional additional weights up to 80 pounds. + Operate a forklift to move staged doors. + Analyze and resolve work problems efficiently. + Collaborate with a team to create and build products. + Palletize and prepare finished orders for shipment. + Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and safety regulations. Essential Skills + GED or high school diploma required. + Ability to regularly lift, move, and manipulate up to 60 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. + Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English. + Ability to safely perform all job functions. + Excellent attention to detail and ability to read a tape measure accurately. + Strong problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1 year of experience with hand and power tools preferred. + Military experience and a consistent work history are advantageous. + Ability to read and interpret instructions, diagrams, safety rules, and maintenance instructions. + Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Employees are expected to wear steel-toed boots and work shifts from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. There is no overtime for temporary employees, but direct hires may expect approximately 5 hours of overtime weekly. The role is physically demanding, requiring consistent pace to avoid production delays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
