Summary: The Documentation & Logistics Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end trade operations while meeting export trade compliance requirements for seafood. This position requires a highly organized and accurate individual with exemplary customer service skills. Spanish language skills desired (not required).

Executes daily operations across sales and transfers by applying strong working knowledge of sales and in-transit order processes within ERP (SAP) and real-world workflows. Communicates with production plants and both foreign and domestic cold storage partners regarding order releases, loading instructions, labeling requirements, and timing to ensure accurate and timely movement. Effectively utilizes all available tools and technology to ensure accuracy and efficient execution. Builds customer confidence by ensuring expectations and commitments are consistently met. Establishes and maintains positive, effective relationships with internal and external customers. Acts with Commercial objectives in mind and demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering high quality customer service. Collaborates with internal stakeholders across operations, logistics, sales, and warehousing to achieve desired outcomes, while reduces potential issues through strong critical thinking skills and developing effective solutions while addressing concerns with clarity and professionalism. Confirms documentation requirements, meets necessary documentation deadlines. Works with freight forwarders, carriers, USDC Seafood Inspection Program, DEC, Chamber of Commerce, vendors and other partners to produce necessary documents within required timeframes. Initiates export freight bookings with preferred carriers and issues bill of lading and shipment instructions to the ocean carrier. Provides timely shipment updates to internal and external stakeholders. Monitors incoming payments when appropriate to ensure prompt title release and prevent cold storage and container demurrage charges. Adheres to title protection protocols to minimize financial risk. Prepares and presents documents under Letters of Credit and/or Documentary Collections as required, utilizing the banking portal. Interact with Banking and LC Negotiation representatives as needed to support Commercial transactions. Participates in coverage for and training of other team members as needed. Interacts with third-party web portals to facilitate business. Works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.This is a non-exempt position with an hourly pay rate range of $32 to $41 per hour.
