Job Description
The Document Control Technician is responsible for maintaining personal timekeeping using the company’s timekeeping system. This position plays a crucial role in organizing and managing engineering records within a large file room, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in documentation processes.
Responsibilities
+ Organize and clear out a large file room containing engineering records stored on moveable shelving units.
+ Retrieve and box engineering files efficiently.
+ Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate documentation.
+ Lift and relocate boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
+ Occasionally climb using a small step ladder or stool to access higher shelving.
+ Collaborate regularly with plant personnel, document control teams, and records management staff for guidance.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of experience with familiarity in engineering records.
+ Proficient in organizing domestic drawings and vendor documentation for a plant file room.
+ Ability to conduct highly detailed research using the current records management system.
+ Ensure precise data entry and accurate documentation.
+ Foundational understanding of records management practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in document control, engineering documentation, and records management.
+ Clerical support skills.
Work Environment
This position requires working on-site at the plant from Monday to Friday. The work involves handling physical documents and files, including lifting and occasional climbing to access records
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Rincon, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
