Responsible for all records and document management and overall performanceAdvises on processes, issues, urgent matters, and directs how work is executedEstablishes protocols for internal and external stakeholdersOversees day-to-day activities of the Document Control teamProvides direction, guidance, and training to Document Control and project teamsEnsures consistent and effective information management across the projectDevelops, maintains, and supports the project’s Information Management Plan aligned with the Capital Project Management SystemDefines document strategies for Internal, External, and Vault SharePoint sites, EDMS, and paper recordsAssesses project requirements and makes decisions on information management needsDevelops Document Control practices and procedures for field offices and supports implementationConducts business analysis of information flows to determine appropriate processesAssists teams in meeting project schedules, quality, and information management best practicesCollaborates with stakeholders to manage and protect informationUtilizes project management skills to manage multiple initiatives and provide progress/status reportingConducts self-audits, identifies gaps, and implements corrective actionsLeads continuous improvement initiatives to optimize SharePoint and related systemsCoordinates publication of training materials, FAQs, and cheat sheetsPlans and delivers training sessions (in-person, conference calls, WebEx)Makes decisions and recommendations on complex issues without formal guidelines, interpreting policy resourcefullyEstablishes protocols for information updates with project entitiesSets up and maintains records management and documentation systemsOperates and maintains systems for collection, classification, retrieval, and retention of records, images, documents, and informationQualifications:
5-10+ years of document control-related experience in the construction, utilities, architecture, telecommunications, manufacturing, or similar industryA.S. Degree or Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferredProficient in MS ExcelSharePoint experience is preferredJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Merrillville, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.24 - $38.24/hr.
