Job Title: Document Control Associate

Job Description

As a Document Control Associate, you will be responsible for compiling and maintaining control records and related files, releasing drawings and engineering documents to manufacturing and other departments. You will verify the completeness and accuracy of documents such as drawings, change orders, and specifications. Additionally, you will resolve discrepancies with document originators or engineering liaison personnel, ensuring high-quality documentation. Your role includes posting changes to control records, releasing documents, maintaining related files, and notifying affected departments.

Responsibilities

Compile and maintain control records and related files for document release.Verify document completeness and accuracy, including drawings and specifications.Resolve discrepancies with document originators or engineering liaison personnel.Post changes to computerized or manual control records and notify affected departments.Maintain accurate databases, ensuring the life cycle history of all documentation.Set up and maintain projects' master document registers on prescribed software.Manage and record the throughput of project documentation from internal departments, clients, and suppliers.Organize documentation for hard copies and digital formats.Take responsibility for project document archiving processes.Perform clerical tasks, including mail screening and correspondence composition.Operate reproduction equipment and prepare requests for document reproduction.

Essential Skills

Two years of experience in Administrative / Document Control.High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Proficiency in document management, including printing, scanning, and editing with Adobe PDF.Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with MS SharePoint or a similar program is preferred.Background in file management systems and documentation processes.

Work Environment

The position requires working fully in the office from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with the option of working partially in the office 2-3 days a week. The work is primarily sedentary, involving sitting most of the time with limited walking and standing. Occasionally, exerting up to 10 pounds of force may be required. The environment is conducive to maintaining focus and ensuring the accurate management of documentation.

This is a Contract position based out of Canonsburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
