Job DescriptionThe focus of the District Sales Executive (DSE) is to achieve results that are aligned with the organization's objectives and strategic goals. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, are the keys to achieving the performance objectives of the District Sales Executive role at Expeditors.
The DSE coordinates and leverages the involvement of multiple stakeholders throughout the sales process to consistently secure new customer revenue for the district office and the broader Expeditors network. The work environment is dynamic and continually evolving, offering growth opportunities, recognition, and rewards for achieving business results.
Key Responsibilities
Manage an assigned territory and demonstrate extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors in this area.Ensure timely and accurate data entry in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.Build, grow, and maintain customer relationships while collaborating closely with regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge Management teams.Participate in the creation of value-added solutions for customer's logistics needs, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit calculations.Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing any necessary customer paperwork.Assist in account receivable (AR) collection when needed to maintain healthy account statusActively participate in training & development program to enhance selling skills and stay current on Company's products and services.Engage in local industry and trade groups as directed by the District Sales Manager.Conduct required sales activities, budget and performance targets, including meeting targeted sales calls.Take on additional assignments or duties as required to support company objectives.QualificationsStrong verbal and written communication skills in English.Strong verbal and written communication skills in Chinese.Excellent discipline and communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and confidently in a professional settingComfortable in a new business development sales role which involved frequent off‑site visits and meetings to pursue and win new business opportunities.Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting and exceeding sales targets.Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to perform well in a fast‑paced and constantly evolving environment.Comfortable performing regular data entry and reporting tasks using a laptop.Skilled at building rapport and developing strong customer relationships.Confident in making timely decisions in response to changing business conditions.Confident, enthusiastic, persuasive, and able to positively influence customers and stakeholders.Consistently reliable, with strong accountability for timeliness and achieving results.Position is based in Semarang.Additional InformationThank you for considering a career with us.
