2020 Companies is now hiring a District Manager to lead our client sales program across the Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) footprint!
Are you a strategic leader with a "player-coach" mindset and a passion for driving high-performance sales teams? We are looking for a dynamic District Manager to lead our client sales program across the Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) footprint. In this dual-impact role, you will act as the lead strategist and primary sales driver for a specified location, while simultaneously coaching, managing, and inspiring a team of Part-Time Sales Specialists at two additional NFM locations.
As the District Manager, you are the bridge between brand strategy and retail execution. You will spend your time on the sales floor, "leading from the front," to drive revenue while developing your team into experts in the client’s product ecosystem. Pay: Competitive salary starting at $50,000/year (commensurate with experience) + performance-based bonuses.
Work Locations: Primary hub in Kansas City, NFM, with oversight of Omaha and Plano NFM locations.

Job Description:
Player-Coach Leadership: Serve as the lead brand expert and primary sales driver at a NFM location while providing remote and in-person management for PT Specialists in other NFM markets.Inspire & Sell: Proactively engage shoppers on the sales floor, demonstrate Client products, and exceed personal sales targets to set the standard for the district.Team Development: Recruit, onboard, and coach a team of Part-Time Client Sales Specialists. Conduct regular performance reviews, side-by-side coaching, and virtual syncs to ensure district-wide excellence.Drive District Growth: Analyze sales data and market trends across all assigned locations to identify growth opportunities. Achieve and exceed district-wide sales targets.Strategic Retail Partnerships: Forge high-level, collaborative relationships with Nebraska Furniture Mart corporate and store management to ensure Client products receive optimal positioning and support.Empower NFM Associates: Oversee and conduct large-scale training sessions for NFM sales associates across the district, empowering them with the product knowledge needed to close sales.Operational Excellence: Ensure all Client product displays across the district are well-maintained, visually appealing, and stocked in accordance with brand standards.Executive Reporting: Provide high-level insights on regional performance, competitor activity, and field feedback to senior leadership to help refine brand strategies.
Qualifications:
Proven Leader: You have experience managing remote or distributed teams, with a knack for coaching individuals of varying skill levels to reach their full potential.Master Influencer: Your excellent communication and presentation skills allow you to influence customers, direct reports, and high-level retail executives alike.Strategic Self-Starter: You can manage a complex schedule, balancing personal sales responsibilities with the management needs of your broader district.Result-Obsessed: You have a documented track record of meeting or exceeding district-level sales goals and are motivated by hitting measurable KPIs.Tech-Savvy Visionary: You possess a deep passion for technology and a comprehensive understanding of the client product ecosystem.
