Responsibilities:
-Utilize a thorough understanding of the company's supply chain to effectively monitor overall distribution networks and optimize order sourcing based upon shipping and receiving capacity, transportation mode and cost, and facility costs
-Manage and grow relationships with manufacturers and forward facilities, building mutually beneficial partnerships
-Facility management including creating an annual budget and monthly review of performance to plan (Annual Budget $25+MM), invoice processing, demurrage management (Annual Spend of $1.75MM ), inventory projections and reconciling; monitoring throughput and variations versus expectation
-Oversee warehouse storage projections and collaborate with the operations and supply planning teams to ensure adequate and appropriately located storage space is secured for those storage projections
-Work with Supply and Operations planning to understand clearing storage strategies
-Work with Transportation on carrier availability and pricing
-Work with Sales to understand customers' forecasts and market trends
-Work with Factories to understand production, quality, and shipping needs.
-Independently create and monitor reporting to track actual performance to projected plans, continuously assessing and refining processes to implement best practices
-Proactively oversee the sourcing opportunities report; investigate non-optimal shipping and work with analysts to make changes as needed
-Manage activity against swaps, manage receipt and production of purchased raw materials, and coordinate and manage the scheduling of remelt reprocessing through designated facilities

-5 -10 years of relevant work experience in distribution or supply chain plus a minimum of 5 years of management experience

-Excellent communication and relationship building skills
-Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and with Cross-Functional teams within the business to collaborate on distribution strategies to achieve business goals
-Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required to spot organizational inefficiencies and provide resolution
