Become a Distribution Engineering Business Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Distribution Generation Interconnection (DGI) leadership and team members. The DGI team evaluates the impact of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) connecting to the SCE system and identifies necessary mitigations to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant interconnections. You will support key initiatives in project management, compliance reporting, and data analytics to advance the team's operational and strategic goals. This position requires cross-functional collaboration with departments across SCE to ensure strategic alignment and execution. Success in this role depends on strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to influence outcomes and build effective partnerships across diverse teams. **Responsibilities**
+ Improves the delivery of analytical support to an Operating Unit and/or the enterprise, enhancing the collection, analysis and reporting of data, which enables successful completion of key business operations projects.
+ Provides advice to stakeholders, presenting analytical findings and making recommendations as to their impact on business operations.
+ Identifies and improves operational processes and procedures, from maintenance to development of reporting dashboards, to streamline business practice and improve efficiency.
+ Collects and analyzes data in order to present findings and make recommendations.
+ Develops models to help inform decision-making on emerging technology investments.
+ Improves the development of business plan scenarios to evaluate different priorities and potential options to achieving the operating unit and/or enterprise objectives.
+ Verifies that established processes are aligned with relevant rules, principles, laws, and industry standards with the goal to safeguard assets, minimize errors, and ensure operational activities are performed to mitigate risk.
+ A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Seven or more years of experience in business operations analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
+ Broad knowledge of, or experience working with, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Tariffs, including Rule 21 and WDAT.
+ General understanding of electric utility transmission and distribution equipment, business processes, and/or operational practices.
+ Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing new or improved processes.
+ Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to a variety of audiences.
+ Proficiency with data analytics tools and methodologies (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Python).
Additional Information
+ This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

+ The primary work location for this position is Pomona, CA (PIV 3).
+ Position will require up to 20% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
+ This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
+ Relocation does not apply to this position.
