Job Title: Distribution Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Distribution Design Engineer with extensive experience in Power Delivery with AEP. This role requires a professional with a strong background in engineering design and a proven track record of working on resiliency programs. The ideal candidate will be adept in using DDS software and possess a comprehensive understanding of power delivery systems, particularly within the context of utilities and grid hardening.

Responsibilities

Utilize DDS software to execute and manage resiliency programs, including unit counts, pole replacements, overhead to underground conversions, and pole relocations.Support engineering design efforts for power delivery projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.Collaborate with teams to enhance the reliability and efficiency of power delivery systems.Lead initiatives focused on grid hardening and resilience for power utilities.

Essential Skills

5+ years of direct experience in Power Delivery engineering with AEP TX.Proficiency in DDS software with a minimum of 5 years of experience.Extensive experience working on resiliency programs.Experience supporting AEP and similar utilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong background in distribution design and engineering.Knowledge of grid hardening and resilience strategies.Proficiency in Distribution Design Studio (DDS).Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
