Distribution Center Maintenance Manager

Position Summary:
Are you ready to take charge and ensure seamless operations at AutoZone? As a Maintenance Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the upkeep and repair of our equipment, machinery, and facilities. Your expertise will keep our systems running smoothly, maintaining high productivity standards and uninterrupted services. You'll lead, train, and coach a dedicated maintenance team, making a significant impact on our operations.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Strategic Scheduling: Plan and execute weekly preventive maintenance work orders (approx. 100 per week), while swiftly adjusting to incorporate corrective work orders as they arise.
+ Coordination Master: Collaborate with external service providers and reassign mechanics based on evolving needs.
+ Inspection & Innovation: Conduct thorough inspections of ongoing maintenance work, identify future projects, and coordinate with other managers for seamless operations.
+ Responsive Action: React promptly to special requests and maintain meticulous records using PROMM (computerized record system).
+ Inventory Management: Oversee maintenance inventory, including consignment, recycling sales, audit files, and mandatory state/federal records.
+ Purchasing Power: Source and purchase necessary parts, materials, and equipment, selecting vendors based on price, quality, and availability.
+ Vendor Verification: Verify deliveries, billing, and approve payments, constantly identifying new sources.
+ Trend Tracking: Stay updated on new trends and equipment, enhancing the skills of mechanics and cross-training department personnel.
+ Research & Resource Utilization: Investigate new equipment, tools, services, and trends in maintenance repairs for better resource and personnel utilization.
Qualifications:
+ Experience: At least 5 years in a Maintenance lead position, with experience in distribution and/or manufacturing.
+ Technical Skills: Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and basic Microsoft Office skills.
+ Flexibility: Willingness to work any shift and travel as needed for training and support.
+ Compensation: Competitive range from $68,400 to $119,700.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Advanced Knowledge: Expertise in Automated Control Systems and PLC-based automated material handling manufacturing systems.
+ Leadership: At least 4 years of experience directly managing 10 or more people in a multiple department area or facility.
+ Inventory Management: Experience with Maintenance Inventory Management.
