As the Dispenser R&D System Technician, you will work on Testing and Quality Assurance by conducting system-level testing and validation of IoT devices and firmware. You will also support prototype and commercial dispenser testing. Troubleshooting and Support: Collaborate with development teams to ensure system compatibility, diagnose and repair hardware and firmware issues and provide technical support to clients and end-users. You will also provide customer support and technical support to clients and end-users, assisting with device set up, troubleshooting, firmware updates and providing guidance on proper use and maintenance of IoT devices.
In this role, you will:
Run product verification and validation testing to confirm the system (hardware, firmware, and software) meet product specifications and system components are functioning properly.
Run system regression testing for quality assurance
Support the lab coordinator for testing of prototype dispensers and commercial dispenser changes; standard and non-standard testing
Fabricate structures to facilitate dispenser testing; mounting dispensers
Participate in test method development
Communicate results to the engineering team by documenting results in formalize reports and discuss refinements
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues as they occur; support engineering teams with solution development
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software development team to ensure compatibility and integration with other systems and applications.
Support dispenser complaint resolution by analyzing returned dispensers in the lab and developing solutions with the engineering team
Support sales team in resolving issues at customer accounts
Support the Onvation SAAS (Software as a Service) to meet system reliability metrics
Identify opportunities for mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software improvements
Participate in video guides that help the sales team and customers with fixes
Travel may be required to customer accounts (2x per year)
Ensures the lab meets safety standards
Maintains lab equipment and tools
Keeps the lab clean and ready for possible customer tours
Collaborate with warehouse team to ship products to outside labs and customers
Run and maintain 3D printers

In one of our technical roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
A Bachelor’s in Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years or more of experience
Basic electrical skills, including batteries and circuit work, reading and deciphering electrical schematics
Understanding of power electronics, battery management systems, signal integrity, and control systems
Basic mechanical/DIY skills and usage of tools
Familiarity with testing methodologies and equipment
Computer proficiency for data logging, system tracking, and testing rig operation
Knowledge of communication protocols I2C, SPI, UART, or other protocols for system interface, programming, and debugging
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to lift heavy objects up to 35 pounds.
Preferred (not essential, but desired):
Demonstrated ability to organize and drive projects to completion within required timeframes,
managing internal teams and external joint development partners
Experience in embedded systems, software, and firmware engineering. Proficient with back-end
development architecture enabling connectivity.
Familiarity with programming languages C, C#, and Python
Experience developing wireless communication systems and Radio Frequency (RF) design
Experience developing IoT systems i.e. WIFI, Bluetooth, ZigBee, Thread, LoRa, cellular IoT, etc.
Familiarity Agile product development - sprint management, etc.

Salary Range: 87,260 – 107,780 USD At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan.
