Position Description
Primary Purpose:
Maintain professional relationships with customers, carriers and other Kinder Morgan employees.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Maintain high level of attention to detail to ensure there are accurate calculations to avoid serious and costly errorsWork closely with senior dispatchers and manager to respond to all customer complaints and inquiresMust be able to multi-task with shifting prioritiesCreate plant operating orders, take phone calls, interface with truck drivers, communicate via radioIssue proper placards, seals, SDS, COA and product ID tags to driverPerform order verification throughout the day:o Verify all orders are closed - Peform Business Objectso Ensure accurate delay codes have been applied to orders as applicableo Enter customer ancillary charges as applicableObtain tare and gross weights of tank trucks; calculate quantity of product loadedAssist with managing truck activity in the terminalCreate an accurate legal D.O.T. BOL that meets KLM, D.O.T. and customer requirementsAccurately complete tank truck movement data in the KM and customer inventory systems while providing great customer serviceFollow through on customer related issues with management to ensure complete customer satisfactionMaintain proficiency and accuracyHandle issues and problems related to the movement of the customers’ product by interfacing with the CSR ManagerMust be able to satisfy all customer requirements as the business demands. Promote teamwork among co-workers to ensure all customers are 100% satisfied in an efficient and timely mannerMust be current in DOT certification/trainingShifts may vary by customer demand and as a result, dispatchers may be required to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime

Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalentCollege experience is a plusExperience / specific knowledge:
Certifications, licenses, registrations:
Must be current in DOT certification/training
Competencies, skills, and abilities:
Must possess excellent math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions.Proficient in Excel, Data Entry and OutlookMust have the knowledge and ability with systems such as SAP and/or any other inventory systemsMust be very detailed oriented and have the ability to problem solve and troubleshootMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability the multi-task as well as manage the dispatching office with minimal supervisionMust be able to perform work as directed by managementIndividual must possess excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to work from written and verbal instructionsMust be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rulesMust be able to work quickly, independently and accurately under pressureMaintain regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance
Working Conditions:Include but may not be limited to walking up and down stairs, standing for extending periods of time and carrying up to 25 pounds
Compensation:
$48,500 - $67,900
Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill set
