Job Overview

Fairview is looking for a Security Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Security Dispatch Operations Center. Job duties include monitoring of a large bank of CCTV surveillance cameras, prioritizing incoming phone calls, dispatching Security Officers, operate Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, monitoring multiple fire computers and taking appropriate actions. Dispatcher must be customer service focused and able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.

 

Position Details

0.7 FTE (56 hours per pay period)night shift

 

 

Riverside location: Week #1 Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday 10pm to 0630am

Midway Location: Week#2 Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10pm to 0630am



Responsibilities

Monitors CCTV cameras, monitor alarms and dispatches security officers appropriatelyMaintains shift log of all activities during shift (CAD)Provides excellent customer service to callers and on-site visitorsPrioritize calls in order of importance and dispatch services appropriatelyEnsure appropriate end of life procedures are followed including coordinating removal of remains from patient care unit, coordinating with funeral homes, working with Pathology dept or ME if required. Coordination with donor services if requested.Maintain all paperwork.Provide high level of customer service to internal and external customersDemonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.


Required Qualifications

Associate/technical degree in telecommunications orlaw enforcement1-3 years dispatch or hospital security experience
