The dispatcher is responsible for coordinating activities of employees engaged in delivering concrete products efficiently and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to safety standards.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with plant production and yard personnel to establish delivery schedules based on truck capacities, distances to delivery sites, and unloading times.Collaborate with customer service representatives to confirm scheduled delivery times.Generate invoices, delivery tickets, and related shipping documents.Assign drivers for scheduled deliveries of concrete products.Prepare cash and charge sales reports from driver shipments.Maintain radio contact with drivers to expedite deliveries.Develop relationships with internal customers to ensure their needs are addressed.Record quantities of sand, cement, gravel, and water required for each mix on loading tickets.Strive to meet customer expectations and achieve positive customer satisfaction survey results.Coordinate with operations and sales to resolve issues and improve service quality.Adhere to all company and O.S.H.A. rules and regulations, wearing proper safety equipment on plant grounds.Recommend procedural improvements to management for enhanced customer service.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.Essential SkillsCustomer service experience, preferably 3 years in a customer-facing role.High call volume handling and logistics experience.Dispatching experience preferred, ideally with 1 year of relevant experience.Scheduling experience highly preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with inbound calls and call center operations.Ability to work with key accounts with long-standing customer relationships.Work Environment
The work environment consists of an office setting with an open floor plan and cubicles. The typical onsite schedule is from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with potential adjustments to 9 am to 5 pm during busy seasons. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
