About the Role

We’re looking for a Dispatch Clerk to join our team at our Laverton ILC site. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient flow of people, vehicles and products through the Gatehouse and Dispatch Office. This position operates on a Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM roster, with the potential for Saturday work during peak operational weeks.

Working closely with the Dispatch Supervisor and the broader dispatch team, you will assist with daily inbound and outbound movement, site access control, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance and accurate SAP data entry. This is a fast‑paced operational role where accuracy, composure under pressure, and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Manage inbound and outbound activities, including hire pallet transfers.Identify, resolve and escalate order or pallet discrepancies.Adjust and short‑ship orders in SAP and report variations.Maintain up‑to‑date dispatch office procedures and accurate documentation.Monitor and control all access to the ILC site through the Gatehouse.Maintain accurate records of personnel, stock, consumables and waste movement.Conduct routine CoR compliance checks and complete regular TSI activities.Redirect non‑inducted or non‑compliant drivers and adjust loads to meet legal requirements.Liaise with internal stakeholders including Warehouse, Transport, Customer Service and Quality.Promote a positive safety culture, follow PPE requirements and participate in audits and training.

About You

Previous experience in dispatch, warehousing or transport administration is preferred.A basic understanding of transport operations, vehicle configurations and compliance rules (CoR) will be highly regarded.Strong computer literacy, including Excel and Word; SAP experience is beneficial, but training is provided.Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment — managing drivers, cameras, couriers and dispatch activity simultaneously.Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.Resilient when dealing with a broad range of truck drivers, including those who may be frustrated, tired or time‑pressured.High attention to detail, organisational skills and a team‑focused mindset.Able to work independently when required.
