About the Role & Program:

The Platform Distribution team is responsible for driving global distribution strategy for The Walt Disney Company’s media networks, direct-to-consumer services, FAST, and digital transactional businesses, providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms in a rapidly-evolving industry.

As a Business Affairs intern, you will support contractual and business strategies for the Platform Distribution Strategy team supporting the media networks, direct-to-consumer, FAST, and digital transactional businesses. The Intern supports creation of resources and documents that streamline our contractual processes and ensure consistency and compliance across the various businesses. Additionally, the role will focus on analyzing contracts with content distributors; understanding the contractual landscape and impacts of Most Favored Nations (MFN) clauses to our business strategies; and participating in evaluating new distribution opportunities. This internship is a full-time, approximately 3-month commitment in New York, NY OR Bristol, CT from June 2026 – August 2026.

What You Will Do:

On any given day you might:

Support the Platform Distribution Strategy team in negotiations with clients such as cable, digital MVPDs, digital platforms, transactional, and FASTCollaborate with senior members of the Business Affairs team to implement standard terms and deal structures that can be applied across accountsMaintain various contractual analyses and summaries across accounts and servicesAssist senior members of Business Affairs to provide timely and thoughtful contractual advice on potential risks and challenges, and propose practical, responsive solutionsCollaborate with internal stakeholders in Sales, Operations and LegalManage and present assigned projects (e.g., contractual analysis, industry risks and opportunities)

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Related work, internship and/or educational experience within legal, business affairs, strategy or a related media fieldInterest in content distribution landscape, competitors, and current trends in the industryExperience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and OutlookExcellent analytical and communication skills, a strategic mindset and a collaborative spiritAttention to detail and an aptitude for navigating and analyzing contracts and other legal documents to determine contractual ramifications of deal points

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience (academic or internship) or an interest in media, content distribution, or legalPrevious contract reading experience

Education:

Juniors or Seniors preferredMajor or previous coursework in Business, Legal Studies, or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program. Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorization

Must have full-time availability for the duration of the internship: June 2026-August 2026Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internshipThis internship is an in-person position Monday through Thursday and a remote position requiring a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace on FridaysFully available from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm EST for the duration of the internship, approximately 40 hours each weekAble to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, NY OR Bristol, CT areaAble to provide/have reliable transportation to/from workThe pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
