The approximate date of this internship is June 2026 to December 2026, located in Glendale, CA.

What You Will Do

Work on technology development projects, which may include drones, virtual production, video game design, 3d printing, building robots, or something else!Develop prototypes and small-scale mockups to test technical feasibility and support creative assessment of functionalityWork on projects that impact our international and domestic offerings, which include stage productions, nighttime spectaculars, puppetry, interactive characters and worlds, etc.Assist with technical research and documentation developmentTrack and review incoming and outgoing communication and deliverablesPartner with cross-functional teams, including creative, production, designers, consultants, and vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

Passion for technology and live entertainmentFabrication skills, technical production, or design experienceExperience working with real-time interactive digital worlds, such as Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, and UnityExperience creating and delivering compelling presentations, distilling technical details into simple written and visual communicationFamiliarity with entertainment programming software (such as MA 3D, Navigator, Hippotizer, Qaysi)Experience working with digital illustration tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, Maya, Rhino, and 3ds MaxThorough, organized, and detail-orientedAble to handle multiple tasks and prioritiesWork collaboratively and independentlyStrong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency with Excel, Adobe, and PowerPoint or KeynoteDemonstrated proficiency in modeling software, including CADD (Revit and/or AutoCAD)Experience in an entertainment or theatrical technical environment

Preferred Education: 

Junior, Senior, and Graduate students earning or completing an MFA in a technical design-related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorizationPossess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicleHave not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College ProgramAble to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship

The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $26.50 per hour.
