The approximate date of this internship is June 2026 to January 2027, located in Orlando, FL.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with other contributing disciplines to achieve project goalsAssist in the research and exploration of new technologies for character entertainmentSupport the development and testing of hardware and software prototypesHelp prepare documentation, presentations, and technical packetsContribute to the organization and sustainment of internal databases and file systemsShadow and collaborate with engineers and designers on active projectsAssist in sourcing components and materials for development and productionSupport the team in maintaining and updating bill of materials (BOMs)Required Qualifications & Skills:
Coursework or hands-on experience in electrical engineering, software development, mechatronics, or related fieldsFamiliarity with programming languages such as C, C++, PythonInterest in control systems, robotics, or interactive technologiesStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work in a team-oriented, creative environmentWillingness to learn and take initiativePreferred Qualifications:
Exposure to embedded systems, motor controllers, or robotics is a plusExperience with tools such as VS Code, KiCad, Fusion 360, SolidWorksFamiliarity with Git workflowsInterest in costume construction, technical documentation, or entertainment technologyMultilingual skills (French, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin) are a plusEducation:
Senior or Graduate student currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related technical or entertainment discipline.Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorizationPossess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicleHave not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College ProgramAble to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internshipAdditional Information

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $18.75 per hour.
