**Job Title: Sanitation Associate** **Job Description** This position is a temporary three-month project designed to cover a paternity leave. The primary task involves washing large machine parts within a chocolate manufacturing facility. **Responsibilities** + Clean all wares and equipment parts by hand or using dishwashers, including buckets, molding trays, plaques, racks, etc. + Correctly place and store clean equipment, utensils, and other wares in assigned storage areas. + Clean and empty trash receptacles daily. + Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation. + Conduct daily sanitizer concentration checks. + Check inventory of chemicals and supplies. + Use chemicals safely, following chemical instructions. + Follow sanitation schedules to conduct routine cleaning of the facility. + Maintain and keep sanitation logs up to date. + Always use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). + Work safely and report any unsafe conditions or injuries immediately. + Notify the QA Manager of any damage or repair needs to equipment or facility. + Perform basic math, read, and write well. + Communicate effectively with others. + May act as a back-up for Sanitation Associate 1. + Provide support to leads and team members in other departments as requested. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience in cleaning and dishwashing. + Knowledge of sanitation and GMP practices. + Ability to follow detailed cleaning and safety protocols. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to immerse hands in cold and hot water frequently. + Capability to move around the facility floor and remain stationary as needed. + Physical ability to occasionally move 75 lbs and frequently transport 50 lbs or less. + Experience in operating and moving machinery, ladders, and pallet jacks. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. **Work Environment** The role is within a chocolate manufacturing facility where the temperature is normal. The position regularly involves working with machinery and moving ladders and pallet jacks in a hot, cold, wet, and loud environment.
